So you’ve just reached the big 50 in FFXIV and are nearing the end of the storyline. You can taste the finish line! Or can you? The end of the story in this Final Fantasy is just the start of something new! Endgame!!!!
Duty Roulette: Level 50/60/70. Duty Roulette: Level 50/60/70 will put the player into a random level 50, level 60, or level 70 light party dungeon. As of patch 4.0, access to this Duty Roulette requires unlocking a minimum of 2 of the included dungeons. Players must also have an average item level of 90 or greater.
However endgame in A Realm Reborn is not something to take lightly, whether you’re a fledgling to the MMO world or a hardened cynical soul you may want to consult an easy to consult progression guide to cure the headache that is endgame progression. Now I’m going to break this down into 4 easy to digest stages which must be followed if you want to even go anywhere near the Binding Coil of Bahamut.
Step 1: FFXIV Pre-Level 50 Prep Talk!
- Finish your Artifact Armour Quests – This armour is obtained by completing your level 45 and 50 job quests – easy to get and the entry armour for endgame content (head, chest, hands, legs, feet)
- Upgrade your Accessories – Still got those level 30 rings from Brayflox’s Longstep equipped? Time to get rid of them! Go down to the market place in any of the Cities and purchase yourself level 49 HQ (rings x2, necklace, earrings, bracelet) from the Market Board. These must be HQ as they naturally have better stats than standard ones!
- Achieve Chief Sergeant Rank in your Grand Company – Go get those GC Seals and rank up!
- Get a Level 40+ Weapon(s) – Get one by any means! Farm Level 40 Dungeons (such as Stone Vigil or Aurum Vale) until one drops, or purchase one from your Grand Company.
Step 2 – FFXIV Early Level 50 Content
Final Fantasy Xiv Dungeons List
Now you’re all geared up in the basic stuff it’s time to finish up the main storyline and begin the grind for better gear! Hurray!
- Complete the Main Storyline (The Praetorium) – Pretty self explanatory. The AF armour and accessories you purchased are enough to see you through to the end.
- Unlock Wanderer’s Palace and Amdapor Keep – You could (if you want) run these two dungeons in AF armour however you may run into some elitist players here who will give you a headache. Thus I would recommend farming Amdapor Keep, Wanderers Palace, The Dzemael Darkhold and The Stone Vigil for Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy to purchase a few pieces of Darklight
- Armour from the NPC Auriana in Mor Dhana. A major point here : although the current level cap of XIV is indeed 50, item level continues to increase in endgame. Artifact Armour has an item level of around 50 whilst Darklight Armour has an item level of around 70.
- Hard Mode Ifrit – This is the first real test of your skills. I would suggest using the Duty Finder to try it a few times, and get the feel for the fight. After that, joining a party on your server to attempt it will save time waiting for the queue to pop, and you can attempt multiple runs for the Ifrit Weapons.
At this point… STOP. Seriously, don’t go any further than this right now in content. Go through this (brief) checklist:
- Did I buy a piece or two of Darklight? If yes, move on. If no, go back and buy one. If you don’t have enough tokens for the piece you want, run Wanderers Palace and the previously mentioned dungeons again.
- Do you have an Ifrit Weapon? If yes, then move on. If no, go farm him until it drops. This can take a long time, but an Ifrit Weapon is pretty standard equipment for everything after this. If you’re getting frustrated with Ifrit, though, a briefly useful piece of equipment is the Lieutenant Rank Grand Company weapon. It can carry you through a few things, but it will have to be replaced sooner than later.
Step 3- FFXIV Farming Content Hurray!!!
- Amdapor Keep – You’ll be seeing a lot of Amdapor Keep over the next few weeks (or months). Amadapor Keep is where you’ll begin farming Allagan Tomestones of Mythology . The Myth Tomes will be used down the road to acquire a +1 version of your relic weapon, but as there’s a cap on acquiring 300 Myth Tomes a week, you’ll want to start doing this as soon as you’re capably geared for Amdapor Keep.
- Farm for Tomestones of Philosophy – At this point in the game, the nominally tedious task of farming Philosophy Tomes kicks into high gear. Darklight gear is essential for high-end endgame content, and it requires a LOT of Tomes. You’ll eventually want to replace every gear slot with something Darklight . Patch 2.1 has added Beastmen Dailies and the Duty Roulette which has made gaining these a much easier process.
- Hard ModeGaruda – Once you have replaced your former gear with Darklight and have a decent 50’s weapon (Ifrit or GC), then you can attempt Garuda Hard Mode.
- Level subjobs – This is pretty essential. Each job has two others it can pull Actions from, and players will need access to these skills to progress beyond the farming stage. How high these need to be levelled is job dependent, but research your job and level the relevant subs. You will find further content difficult without all the required skills at your disposal.
- Begin your relic quest – At this point, you can easily undertake the first several stages of the relic quest. It’s quite a long chain, but it has some interesting challenges. It is also the first endgame dungeon that must be done with people solely from your own server. There are two battles not accessible through the Duty Finder.
Step 4- High Level End Game!
This is it! You’ve reached the figurative summit! Now you’re ready to take on the following …
Final Fantasy Xiv Duty Roulette Lvl 50 Dungeons Free
- Hard Mode Titan
- Extreme Mode Garuda, Titan and Ifrit
- The Crystal Tower – First tier of raid content. 1 piece of gear per week (Level 80)
- Relic Weapon +1 – Level 90 weapon.
- The Binding Coil of Bahamut – The (current) highest and hardest tier of content. (Level 90)
Congratulations! You’ve made it to the big league! Enjoy the fruits of your toils and try not to turn into an elitist!
